Austrailian manufactured military issue bolt action "Lee Enfield" SMLE short rifle, manufactured circa 1940. Imported by InterAmerican Company Sacramento, CA, featuring a 25.2" barrel with tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 meters and adjustable for windage, fixed blade front sight with curved protectors, curved grooved trigger, and bayonet lug. Fed from detachable 10-rd box magazine and implements a magazine cutoff slot on the receiver. Four piece hardwood stock with brass trapdoor buttplate. The metal finish appears to be blued with 75% remaining. Bore is Dark/dirty, and rifling seems fair. Action is smooth/tight. Wood is good with heavy handling wear, the metal is good with minor handling/edge wear. Observed serial numbers do not match, and paint is found on the magazine and on the bottom of the buttstock. Receiver is marked "MA 1940" stamped on the buttsocket. Includes (1) Magazine.
Condition is NRA Good.
