^Lot 1096 Lot of 7 Frontier Era Knives.

1) Russell Green River with checkered wood grip, 3 brass rivets, blade curved and 4 1/2". Period scabbard. Dark patina. Fair to good condition. 2) Thin steel blade, curved skinner with stag grip. Rusted and pitted. 10 1/4" overall. 3) Rusty early knife with illegible mark, well worn. Wood grip. Looks Solinger. 11" overall. Fair to poor condition. 4) Stag grip, small sheath or Bowie knife with scabbard. 4 1/2" blade and 8 1/2 overall. Scabbard fair only. 5) Crude sheath or Bowie, hand-made, 5" blade, fair to good. 6) Rosewood gripped skinner, blade roughly sharpened and wear to wrap at meeting point. Fair only. 7) Shear steel marked knife w/ checkered bone grip. Likely Sheffield. Fair. 6" blade. All from the James Wells "Buffalo Hunt" Collection.
