Columbian converted bolt-action rifle rechambered in 30-06 Spring an marked .30 on rear of receiver. 1952 dated receiver with the Columbian Coat of Arms. Blued finish, and the bolt is in-the-white. Wood semi-pistol grip stock and matching handguard, smooth curved trigger, sling swivels, ribbed sheet metal buttplate, approximately 23.5" barrel, marked with importer CAI, St. Albans, VT, and 'MOD 98 Belgium' on barrel. Inverted "V" front sight and painted red, tangent adjustable rear sight graduated to 2000 meters. Serial number F. 24687 matched on receiver, and bolt. Retains more than 30% of original bluing, with some finish wear on the barrel. Some handling/edge wear. Wood is very good with few scratches and handling wear. Action is smooth/tight. Bore is full of cosmoline.
