^Lot 1049a Winchester 62A .22 S/L/LR #240662

American made slide action, rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle cartridges, circa 1949-50. Features 23" round barrel with 3/4 magazine tube, a blued finish, dovetailed blade/bead front sight, adjustable rear sporting sight, take-down receiver, serrated hammer spur, smooth trigger, grooved 'corn cob' walnut slide handle and smooth straight grip shoulder stock with checkered factory hard rubber buttplate. Bore is excellent, bright, strong rifling. Retains approx. 70% finish with some thinning on the barrel, dents, minor scratches, edge wear, patina on trigger housing and left side of receiver, friction wear on the action bar and hammer. Wood is very good with a couple of minor dents and scratches. Action is crisp/smooth. Matching serial number on receiver, & lower tang. Winchester markings are crisp/sharp.
