Lot 950 Japanese Katana "Shirasaya"
26 5/8" katana blade With Wavy Temper Line and a copper habaki (blade collar) 39 1/2" overall. The tang has a 7 mei signature. Contained in a natural wood shirasaya. The shirasaya was custom made to fit a blade for the purpose of storage or transportation. The blade is overall very good/bright with some minor scratches, no nicks to the edge. The shirasaya appears to be of newer manufacture.
