Lot 849 Colt Officers Model .38 Spl #338135

Pre-war medium frame double action target revolver chambered in .38 Special, 2nd issue, manufactured circa 1912. Left side barrel marked "Colt officers Model 38" between two Maltese Crosses. Features a blued finish, tapered 7.5" barrel, adjustable patridge front sight, drift adjustable U notch rear sight, flat top frame, knurled trigger, knurled hammer spur, fluted six-shot cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, knurled backstrap and two-piece checkered Walnut grips with brass toned "Rampant Colt" medallions. Has lanyard loop that appears colt factory installed. Revolver exhibits approximately 75% of it's original bright blued finish showing holster wear, some scratches/rubs. Action is smooth with solid lock-up, the bore is near excellent/bright and the matching wood grips are good as worn semi-smooth. Really nice condition for its age. Includes two sets of grips for the Colt I frame, Hogue mono grips, and Pachmayr 'Signature' grips, both sets like new in original packaging.
