^Lot 465 UMC Green Label .45-90 Cal. Sharps Cartridges.

This is a scarce full box, 10 original rounds, of .40-90 Sharps Straight, .45 Calibre ammunition for the Sharps Rifle with 2 4/10 inch shell, 90 grains of powder and 550 grain, 1 3/8" patched bullet manufactured by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company. The green label box has an excellent primary label with tears to the lower 2 piece side label, printed UMC Guarantee on the back. The term "2 4/10" refers to the .45-90 Sharps cartridge, a black powder rifle cartridge developed in 1877. Used for long-range hunting and target shooting, famously associated with the Sharps 1874 rifle. Overall near excellent condition.
