Argentine 1909 Mauser Cavalry Carbine chambered in 7.65×53mm Argentine . Of the 19,000 produced by FMAP there are 7 carbine variants. This is the Gendarmeria Nacional 2nd variant for use with mounted Federal Forces. Argentine crest on the receiver along with the Gendarmeria Nacional marking. This features the bayonet lug adoption included on all models produced after 1926.Manufactured by Fabrica Militar de Armas Portatiles. Mauser style action with flag safety, inverted V protected front, tangent style rear graduated to 1400 meters, Mannlicher style full stock with smooth steel buttplate, sling stable inletted in left buttstock, blue finish with polished action & bolt. matched serial number on receiver, bolt, stock and triggerguard. 22" barrel, 42 1/4'overall. Bore is very good/bright, finish is very good overall with some muzzle/edge wear, handling wear to the bottom metal, wood is sound with many minor scratches/dings. Imported by CAI, marked on the right barrel. Comes with the original brass muzzle cover.
