Early antique single action cap-n-ball black powder percussion revolver. Manufactured circa 1853. Features an 4" octagon barrel, brass bead front sight, 'v' notch rear sight cut into the hammer lip, smooth thin trigger, knurled hammer spur, non-fluted six shot cylinder with roll stamped Stagecoach scene is visible, loading lever, two line New York City address on barrel flat, round brass trigger guard, brass backstrap, one-piece oil finished smooth walnut grip. Bore is good, fairly bright with sharp rifling, some scattered light pitting. Metal surfaces show mottled gray patina, some scattered light pitting. Engraved scene on cylinder has good detail. Wood is good condition with slight scratches, there was something inletted on both sides at some point, have since been plugged with a slightly lighter color wood. Serial number repeated on barrel, cylinder, triggerguard, loading lever, arbor pin & back strap. Action is sound. Wedge is unmarked.
