Custom bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .338-06 ACK, manufactured circa 1958. The model 54 was Winchester's first bolt action rifle built to handle heavy high-velocity ammunition, production lasted from 1925-1936 with just over 50,000 produced. The .338-06 ACK round was developed in 1958. Features a blued finish, 24" tapered barrel with a ramp blade/bead front sight and a removed dovetailed rear sight, mounted Leupold VX-1, 3-9X40mm with a duplex fine cross hair reticle, smooth trigger, blued bolt with turned-down handle & two position manual safety on the rear, internal box magazine, walnut pistol grip shoulder stock, checkered at wrist and fore end, sling swivels, checkered metal butt plate and smooth metal grip cap. Safety positions are opposite of typical Mauser type rifles, "safe" is with flag to left, "fire" with flag to right. Retains approx. 95% finish with faint handling marks. Action is tight, the bore is excellent/bright, strong rifling, markings are very good and the wood stock is excellent with some tiny dents & scratches. Scope is clear. Comes with Die Set.
