Lot 212 Marlin 1893 'Deluxe' .30-30 Win #253240
Lever action rifle chambered in the .30-30 Winchester cartridge, manufactured circa 1901. Features blued finish (case colored receiver, lever and hammer), a special order takedown frame. Has a 26 1/4", half octagon/half round barrel and is marked "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" with dovetailed blade/bead front sight and a standard semi-buckhorn rear sight . Checkered smooth wood forearm and checkered pistol grip shoulder stock with a factory checkered black plastic buttplate. Half-length magazine tube, smooth curved trigger and knurled hammer spur. Barrel address has all 3 correct patent dates which include the 1887, 1889, and 1893 dates. Upper tang marked "MODEL 1893" and top of frame and buttplate marked "MARLIN SAFETY". Markings are crisp and clear. There is thinning on the blued finish with a couple of small scrapes on the top left side of barrel. The right side of the frame and hammer have scattered brown/dull patina. Friction wear on the mag tube and edge losses, especially on the forearm cap. Wood is good with normal wear and some scattered dents and scratches. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Action is smooth and tight. NRA Condition is Good. ***C&R Firearm***.
