Vintage 'Griffin & Howe' styled sporting bolt action rifle with Griffin & Howe marked offset scope mount (brass rings) and other refinements, built on a pre-War
rifle circa 1939. Features custom 27" medium-heavy barrel, Lyman Alaskan 2.5x scope with fine crosshairs, three position safety, hinged floorplate. Custom walnut stock features fine checkering at wrist & forend, ebony tip, right hand cheekpiece with shadow line, checkered steel grip cap, recoil pad, sling studs. Bore is bright overall, some darkness in grooves. Retains 85% finish with some discoloration and other losses on barrel, thinning and scratches on bottom metal. Stock is near excellent with few blemishes. Recoil pad needs replaced.
