Lot 791 Navajo Sterling Lavender Dahlia Turquoise Bracelet

Presented in this lot is this Navajo Sterling Silver Lavender Dahlia Turquoise Split Cuff Bracelet. The bracelet features a wonderfully and professionally crafted sterling silver and Lavender Dahlia turquoise cabochon mounted in a centre bezel of the split shank cuff bracelet. Lavender Dahlia or Mohave turquoise is not a natural stone but a type of composite turquoise, primarily made from Kingman turquoise, spiny oyster shell, and sometimes bronze, with the purple and lavender colours created through dyeing. It is known for its unique, floral-like patterns, which vary from piece to piece, making each one unique. The base material comes from the Kingman Turquoise mine in Arizona , which is also the only mine authorized to process their turquoise scraps in this specific way. It consists of finely crushed blue Kingman turquoise that has been dyed a rich purple, along with bronze metal to create the distinct veining or matrix. This bracelet has an elegant and stunning appearance, the bright finish sterling silver serving to accentuate the turquoise matrix colouring. The underside of the cabochon is stamped, "STERLING". Measures 6.25" circumference including .5" opening. Collective weight is 11.9 grams.
