^Lot 652 Hopi B. Dawahoya Sterling Buffalo Belt Buckle

Featured in this lot is this beautifully crafted Hopi sterling belt buckle made by silversmith Bernard Dawahoya. This buckle features an amazing Hopi overlay design of a buffalo / bison, highlighted with a stippling technique and darkened silver background. It is stamped on the back with a pictorial mark used by Bernard Dawahoya. The belt buckle shows good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage noted. It measures 2 5/8" L x 4" W and weighs 104.8 grams.
