Lot 617 Wells Fargo & Co. Express Ephemera 1855-94 (3)

For your consideration are three Wells Fargo & Company Express documents from 1855 to 1894. The first piece in this lot is a Wells Fargo & Company Express receipt for Mrs. Lombardi, the co-owner of the Crystal Palace with her husband. The receipt was for ten dollars and was sent on January 2nd, 1894. The back of the receipt shows various advertisements for Wells Fargo & Company Express. The second piece is a bank receipt from December 1855 in th amount of twenty-five dollars. The third and final piece is a Wells Fargo & Company Express advertisement tag showing an orange color with black lettering reading, "Wells, Fargo & Co's Express From Plattsmouth, Neb.". It shows an image of bison running from the train tracks as a Wells Fargo & Company train barrels towards them. The pieces show good condition overall with wear present from their age, but no major signs of damage noted. They are set in plastic sleeves to preserve their condition. They measure from 4 3/8" L x 9" W to 2 7/8" L x 4 1/4" W. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. EX35
