^Lot 361 Savage Arms Sporter .22 Caliber Bolt Action Rifle

Featured in this lot we have a Savage Arms Sporter model 23A bolt action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The model 23A was manufactured by Savage from 1933 till 1942. The rifle displays a 23" long round barrel, walnut stock, external removable magazine, adjustable iron sights, and bolt action. The barrel is marked across the top reading "MANUFACTURED BY SAVAGE ARMS CORP UTIGA. U.S.A. PATENTED NOV. 28. 1905. SEP. 7. 1915. SEP. 4. 1917. NOV. 20. 1917. SAVAGE SPORTER" with the left side of the frame marked "22-LONG RIFLE:. Mechanically the bolt action shows smooth action with the external firing pin locking in place properly with a crisp trigger. The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear and pitting due to age and handling with the bottom pull knob on the magazine loose. The rifle weighs 5lbs 12oz. Serial Number: 107373.
