Winchester 1885 Model Hi Wall rifle in 40-82 caliber with 30 octagon #3 barrel. Blue and case-hardened finish with rifle butt. Approximately 75-85 percent original blue remains on the barrel with good markings and sharp edges. Standard rear sight with large blade front sight which is period but possibly not factory. 50-60 percent thinning and toning case colors on the frame. Good to very good wood with only minor imperfections and slight scratches, dings, mars, etc. Bore bright with strong rifling. An 8 on a 1-10 grading scale. Manufactured 1891.
