^Lot 266 SKY Finnish M39 Bayonet & Scabbard

This is an original super Rare WW2 M1939 Finnish Kulmala SK.Y Civil Guard Bayonet and leather scabbard. Only about 10 000 were made. The bayonet meant to be used with M39 Mosin rifle but can be fixed to M27-M28 Series of rifles also. 7" clip-point blade with 4 3/4' fullers. Ricasso stamped "SK.Y ( Suojeluskuntain Yliesikunta, which translates to Civil Guard Headquarters).with the reverse stamped with manufacturer "O.Y. Veljekset Kulmala A.B." Guard stamped "S". One piece wood grips The scabbard still retains its lower metal plate and belt loop. The leather securing strap wraps around the crossguard. Stamped "SK.Y" Leather is very good, intact stitching and the bayonet is very good condition. Most were melted down in the 1970's.
