^Lot 230a DWM Argentino 1909 7.65mm #N5248

German made military bolt action rifle manufactured for the government of Argentina. Considered by many to be the most finely built and finished of all the world's military Mausers. Has been modified with a Williams receiver mounted adjustable peep rear sight and a bent-down bolt handle (numbered "005722"). Rear sight leaf removed. Numbers match on receiver, stock, bottom metal. Features a 29" barrel, full length semi-pistol grip stock with handguard, sling swivels, hinged floorplate, cleaning rod, bayonet lug. Bore is bright with strong rifling, some frosting. Retains 85% blued finish with minor losses, bright polished receiver and bolt, light patina on bolt. Bright blue color visible on floorplate latch. Wood is very good condition with some dents, staining visible near the buttplate.
