Bamana, Mali. Early dance crest with a hand carved polychrome painted antelope to the top. Fiber woven crest or top to be affixed to the head during ceremonies including those for fertility and crop growing. Size 13 3/4" H x 8 1/4" W. Condition: Worn condition throughout, well preserved.
