^Lot 379 Old Dan Bearded Racing Mask, 20th c.

Liberia, and Cote d'Ivoire, 20th century. Dan racing mask in a fine-grained hardwood with dark patination to the face of the mask with circular pierced eyes and a long beard. The reverse with extensive wear to the patination and visible wear to surface and edges. Mask size 8" L, with beard approximately 15" L. Provenance: Family collection of an esteemed diplomat and ambassador amassed during travel and work circa 1960-1990s in the medical field providing charitable advanced medical care throughout the African continent and internationally.
