^Lot 248 Spanish Colonial Coffee or Spice Mill, Early 18th C.

Very large and early antique spice or coffee mill with finely inlaid back carved to the base and decorated with a star pattern in marquetry. Grinding case with remnants of an old label partially legible reading "Canal de Suez" among additional text. Grinding bowl in a fine brass with roped border and hallmarked to several places on the interior. Heavy grinding mechanism with incised iron handle in the colonial style. Size 27 3/4" L x 12 " W x 16" H. Provenance: Ex-Arizona Collection
