Lot 235 Inuit Bone Snow Goggles, 20th Century

Native American, Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Inuit Eskimos, ca. early 20th century CE. Carved from a piece of Caribou horn with two narrow slits to only allow a small amount of light to filter through. Traditionally used by people of the arctic to prevent from snow blindness. Size 5" L x 2" W, weight 22g. Condition: Good overall condition with a nice patina throughout.
