^Lot 41 Japanese Army Officers Sword & Scabbard

Japanese army officers sword and scabbard. Blade single edge slightly curved with cascading wave Hamon temper line probably Gunome zigzag style. Gunto mounts to tsuba and Kashira. Ray skin grip with brown wrapped cotton over. Menuki matching to mounts. Size 37 1/4" L, blade 25 3/4" L, Not Signed. Condition: Loss to scabbard lacquer, scabbard missing endcap with crack at end. Other wear from age and use.. Provenance: Ex-Los Angeles Estate
