Semi-Automatic rifle. Manufactured in Belgium by FN Herstal. Egyptian Military contract. Ordered in 1948, delivered 1949, total of 37,602. Crown crest of King Farouk on receiver ring. FN markings on right receiver rail. Rear sight in Arabic. Imported by CAI, marked on right barrel. Gas-operated short-stroke piston, tilting bolt. 23.2" barrel with protected front blade, and adjustable peep rear sights, bayonet lug. 10-rd box magazine, left triggerguard mounted safety. Stock is very good sound with the usual dings/dents, inletted brass disc with Arabic letters and "2-4 55", brass buttplate with trapdoor with take-down tool in compartment. Bore is dark/rough, rifling present, action is smooth and the metal finish is about 75% with edge/handling wear.NRA Condition-Fair to Good. C&R Firearm.
