Scarce French military bolt action service rifle chambered in 8x50Rmm, dated 1938. Features an arsenal refinish, 17.7" barrel, wide blade front sight, graduated rear sight to 1,000 meters, 3 round tube magazine, straight bolt handle, two barrel bands, magazine cut off switch, smooth hard wood forend and straight grip shoulder stock with smooth metal buttplate. French proof marks. Rifle retains approximately 70% arsenal finish overall with heavy wear triggerguard/bottom metal with scattered patina. Action is smooth, bore is good/bright, strong rifling and wood stocks are fine. Receiver marking a a little feint but readable.
