^Lot 810 Antique Colt Lightning .44-40 WIN Slide Action Rifle Medium Frame

Manufactured in 1891. Features a 26" octagon barrel with period correct rear semi-buckhorn notch sight and blade front. Correct barrel stampings with Colt two-line address and patent dates. Side loading gate with a 15 round full length magazine tube. Blued action with Rampant Colt logo engraved on the left side. Walnut straight grip stock with crescent metal butt plate. Walnut checkered forearm. LOP: 13-1/8". CALIBER: 44-40. S/N: 60619. FFL STATUS: Antique.
CONDITION
Finish has turned mostly to a brown patina with some original blue showing on the action. Oxidation spots on the bottom of the barrel and top of the mag tube near the muzzle. Screws show light marring. Stock shows dings but still sturdy, light oxidation on butt plate. Dark bore and good mechanics.
