Lot 210 Restored August Francotte Boxlock Side by Side Shotgun
Made in Liege, Belgium by August Francotte, circa 1900. Fitted with 29-1/2" Damascus steel barrels and 12 gauge with 2-1/2" chambers, "Non Pour Balle" markings with Belgian proofs, matted rib with gold breech joint and extractors. Case-hardened boxlock action with vignette engraving, "A. Francotte Gunmaker" on left, "Patentee London" on right, Greener style crossbolt, double triggers, and automatic safety. Tiger striped checkered walnut pistol grip stock with horn 3/4" thick butt plate. Matching walnut checkered splinter forearm with push button release. LOP: 14-1/4". DAC: 1-1/4". DAH: 1-7/8". CALIBER: 12 GA. S/N: 17960. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
