U.S. British Lend-Lease military magazine fed bolt action training rifle chambered in .22 S/L/LR, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1944-1950. Features a blued finish, 23” barrel, hooded post front sight with bead top, receiver mounted Mossberg S-130 adjustable aperture sight, serrated trigger, synthetic trigger guard with finger grooves, cocked indicator on the rear of the bolt, manual safety on the rear of the receiver, bent bolt handle with round knob, dust cover attached to the bolt, detachable 7 round magazine, sling swivels and two-piece full length smooth walnut semi-pistol grip stock with factory plastic butt plate. The barrel and receiver are both marked “UNITED STATES/PROPERTY/SERIAL NO. 35272” and the barrel, and receiver are stamped with Birmingham nitro proof marks. (BNP) Rifle retains approximately 60% of its original blued finish showing edge wear, thinning/handling loss on the bolt/receiver. Action is sound, the bore is pristine and the wood stocks are very good with minor scratches dings.
