^Lot 969 Smith & Wesson .32 Regulation Police

SN: 296426 .32 regulation Police , pre War. (1917-1942) Features a blued finish, pinned 6" barrel, blade front sight, integral notch rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder, smooth case trigger, case hardened hammer with knurled spur, built on a round butt I frame, two-piece diamond checkered walnut 'extension' grips with S&W medallions. Grips held by two screws, no S&W trade mark, patent date of June 5, 1917 stamped on the underside of left grip. Bore and charge holes are excellent/bright. Retains 92% of the original blue finish. Markings are crisp. Wood grips are very good. Action is smooth with good lock-up. Serial number repeated on cylinder, under barrel, and fore strap.. Assembly number in frame recess matches yoke.
