^Lot 712a Original Oil on Canvas

Portraying two innocent young boys swimming nude at the beach, signed lower left Benito Rebolledo Correa and dated 1918. The painting measures approximately 11" x 16" and is in its original carved wood and gilded frame. The canvas is in good condition just needing light cleaning and no areas of damage just normal aging and appears to never have been cleaned or varnished. Correa was a Chilean luminist painter born 1880 who was strongly influenced by the Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla y Bastidas and may have been his pupil. There is an export stamp on the rear showing legal exportation to South America.
