^Lot 653 Erma/TG K98k 'Russian Capture' 8mm #1002f

Pre-WW2 K98k made at the Erfurter Maschinenfabrik (ERMA) in 1937. This rifle finish is a Russian arsenal matte blue refinish, the stock has been varnished. The bore is fair, strong rifling, light frosting in the grooves. the bayonet lug, and butt plate are bright metal, the serial number on the receiver matches the barrel, and stock, the rest mismatched. The chamber is stamped S/27, 1937, with "X' indicating Russian capture. The Russian eltropenciled matching serial numbers on the bolt, & floorplate when they put it together, Finish, & wood are very good. Imported by TG, Knox TN, marked on underside of barrel.
