The Stevens Model 820 was made between 1949 and 1954. The Savage date code
consisting of a letter and one or two numbers in a 1/4" circle may be stamped on
the receiver or the barrel near the receiver.
This date code originated in 1949 and is as follows: A = 1949, B = 1950, C = 1951,
D = 1952, E = 1953. This gun has an E so 1953.
Barrel is 19" long so may have been cut down from original length.
Overall condition looks like it works 100% - Wood is good with no cracks
Metal surfaces have lost ;lots of the bluing - Trigger Guard has lost most of
its painted finish too.
Has a slip on Recoil Pad that is still soft.But does alsdo have original Rubber Butt Pad.
