^Lot 924 American Bowie Knife

Circa 1830-50's. Features a 10 5/8" clip point blade, steel cross guard and square pommel w/ hard wood grips secured by six steel pins. Simple leather hand stitched scabbard w/pewter or lead rivets. Brass wire hanger. Blade edge has small and large missing metal chips w/pitting and dark patina finish. Grips are worn w/small dents. Craftsmanship is probably from the area of American Southwest or Arkansas. From the Joe Musso Collection.
