^Lot 902 Fenton & Shore Sheffield Bowie Knife

Iconic and impressive clip point Bowie, featured in Robert Abels' book, "Classic Bowie Knives", (fig. 87, page 51, references Peterson's #56). 13" blade marked with above maker, British Crest and other trade markings. Ornate horse head pommel and scalloped guard, yellow stag horn grip and gold embossed leather scabbard w/ German silver mounts. Polished and cleaned blade w/sharp markings, good edges not rubbed out.
