Reproduction muzzle loading pistol with approx 60 caliber smooth bore barrel. Flintlock action has additional dog lock safety, although the hammer will rest at half cock without use of the dog. Lock parts are styled more after a Miquelet or other earlier form of lock. Features polished bare metal, walnut stock, 16" half round half octagon barrel, 25" overall, wood ramrod under barrel, steel fittings including butt cap. No hole drilled at pan for firing. Excellent condition, unfired, with few blemishes from handling. Markings include "RLD" over "VI" in stock forward of triggerguard, several shield shapes stamped into barrel near breech.
