Lot 288 Wheeler and Son Percussion Full Stock Rifle
A conversion trade rifle, percussion from flintlock. 69 caliber arched lock marked “WHEELER & SON” 37 inch tapered round barrel with blade front sight and fixed rear sight. Full stock with brass butt plate and iron trigger guard. 2 brass wiping rod guides. Circa 1850. Good overall condition with pleasant brown patina. Lock functions properly. Wood stock is fine.
