Lot 2448 JAPANESE WAKIZASHI.
Overall length: 30 1/4". Blade length: 21 5/8". This wakizashi has a very irregular hamon & a gilded habaki. The nakago is unsigned & has a single mekugi-ana. The blade is mounted in a shirasaya that appears to have significant age. CONDITION: blade has several tiny nicks to the edge & shows improper sharpening near the tip. The blade would definitely benefit from a professional honing & polishing. Shirasaya shows light wear with expected dents & dings. (02-17890/BF). $200-300.
