Lot 1573 CIVIL WAR UNION KNAPSACK.
This tarred linen example of a standard issue Union knapsack is black with a white stencil on the outer flap that reads "27TH REGT. C. V. CO I". CONDITION: most leather straps & buckles appear present & functional. There are some separations to the tarred linen, however the knapsack remains surprisingly intact. (02-16831/BF). $400-600.
