Rifle. Bolt-Action. 5-rd Rotary magazine. Manufactured 1901. This is a U.S. Military issued Infantry rifle that has been sporterized. Spanish-American War era. Barrel has been cut down to 22", and handguard removed. Stock has been shortened. Retains the original military sights. Receiver stamped "Model 1998 U.S. Springfield Armory". Bore is good. Metal finish has mostly turned to a gray patina with traces of blue throughout. Stock is good. Action is smooth. Would make a good deer rifle. NRA Condition-Good. Modern Firearm
