Lot 814 Orbea Hermanos Model 92 8mm SN: 19896

Spanish made double action medium frame revolver, apparently adapted to fire 8mm Lebel Ordnance Revolver cartridges. Many of these were made during WWI for the French military. The appear to be a close copy of the Smith & Wesson hand ejector 5-screw Military & Police revolver, with some internal changes. Features pinned 4-3/8" barrel with half moon front sight, fixed u-channel rear sight, 6 shot fluted cylinder, checkered black composition "OH" logo grips, hole in butt for lanyard ring (removed), nickel plated finish (appears re-nickeled, likely originally blued). Barrel markings have been lost to the refinish process. Grips are good with small chips, no visible cracks, slight shrinkage. Action is a bit stiff, timing is good, lock-up is fair.
