This is a Flat band "Eastern" Carbine manufactured in 1949, Has the front flat band, and the longer eastern forearm. Unmarked adjustable peep sight mounted on the left of receiver. 20" barrel with post/bead front and semi-buckhorn rear sights. Steel checkered buttplate. Winchester barrel markings are crisp/clear. Action is smooth/tight. Bore appears excellent/bright. Wood is very good with a few minor scratches/dings. Blued metal finish is about 60% with handling loss, edge wear, and minor scratches/scuffs. Nice for its age. NRA Condition-Very good. C&R firearm.
