Desirable high quality bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .22 Hornet, manufactured circa 1935. The model 54 was the Winchester's first bolt action rifle built to handle heavy high-velocity ammunition, production lasted from 1925-1936 with just over 50,000 produced. Features a blued finish, 24" tapered barrel, ramped blade front sight with bead top, serrated trigger, polished bolt with three-position safety, non-detachable box magazine, sling swivels and checkered walnut pistol grip shoulder stock, knurled metal buttplate. Rifle exhibits approximately 50% of it's original finish showing heavy wear on the trigger guard & floorplate, some thinning & handling marks on barrel forward of the stock , Action is smooth, the bore is excellent, markings are mostly very good and the wood stock is good to very good with minor scratches. Mounted with a vintage Weaver K4 scope, clear optics. Brown Leather sling Attached. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.
