Belgian Single Shot Breechloading Rifle, #654, .22 RF cal., 20" octagonal barrel with open sights, marked "47" at left, "654" and "Belgium" on lower flat, proof marks on unique flip-up breech piece with knurled knob for loading/auto extraction; receiver has central hammer; varnished hardwood halfstock has raised panels at either side of lock, checkered and rounded pistol grip, fancy scrolled trigger guard, curved buttplate. Condition is very good retaining approx. 85% darkening barrel blue, else dark gunmetal. Stock is sound showing wear to edges and checkering, later varnish. Action is crisp, bore is brilliant with very good rifling. Est.: $100-$200. (C&R)
