^Lot 3356 FINE NJ MARKED SPRINGFIELD 1873 TRAPDOOR RIFLE.

Cal. 45-70. S# 58162. Bbl. 32" V/P/Eagle w/ graduated rear sight. 1873 High hump breech block. 2 Click hammer. NJ marked left side of stock & receiver. Erskine Allen inspector mark. CONDITION: overall very nice looking w/ strong blueing that is fading on the block & hammer area. Very nice stock w/ very nice markings, however there are a few moderate spaced heavier gouges & more peculiarly a single steel shot pellet embedded in the right but of the stock & what appears to be where two others struck the left side of the comb. Bright bore w/ great rifling. (01-18667/ZAL). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
