Cal. 56-50. S# 5931. Bbl. 20" w/ blade front sight & graduated leaf rear sight. Lever operated repeater w/ mag. that loads through the butt. Left side of receiver has saddle ring & bar. Receiver ring is marked "SPENCER REPEATING / RIFLE CO. BOSTON, MASS. / PAT'D MARCH 6, 1860". Band fastened walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ steel carbine buttplate & sling swivels. Left side of stock has "CHP" & "DAM" cartouches. CONDITION: metal has faded to gray showing spots of surface corrosion & light pitting. Wood has dark worn appearance showing sm. marks. Bore is generally bright retaining sound rifling showing scattered sm. spots of pitting. (01-18515/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,750-2,250.
