Colt Transitional Model 1911-A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #701938, .45 ACP cal., 5'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered walnut grips, with one unmarked two-tone magazine. Single ring, ''WTG'' inspector mark just below slide release, top of barrel with inter-locking ''HP'' markings, barrel also marked with a ''K'' just in front of barrel link. Slide is unnumbered as is correct. Shipped Feb. 7, 1924, to the Springfield Armory. Condition is very good with five small areas of pitting predominantly to left side of slide, and one small spot just forward slide serrations to right side of slide, leaving approx. 92% factory blue. Grips with light flattening and some oil darkening. Left side grip screw slots with some deformity. Crisp action, bright bore. Est.: $3,500-$5,000. (C&R/PPT)
