Antique English Over/Under Screw-Barrel Flintlock Pocket Pistol, NVSN, approx. .40 cal., 1.625'' iron barrels are marked ''2'' and ''3'' at breeches; brass boxlock frame has corresponding numbers at breeches, a left-side barrel selector switch, a gracefully-shaped hammer, sliding rear safety, two proof marks ahead of trigger guard, and is floral engraved with ''Goodwin/& Co.'' within an oval on left side, and ''London'' on right; plain varnished walnut bag-style grips. Mfg'd ca. 1830s-50s. Condition is very good. Barrels retain no original finish but are smooth gunmetal gray overall; frame has light toning with clear engraving and markings. Grips are sound with light marks and later varnish. Action is crisp; smoothbores are clean with deep cuts inside muzzles for engaging a barrel wrench. Est.: $700-$900. (Antique)
