Saxon imperial infantry degen Saxon Infantry sword, circa 1890 of Kaiser Reich era. Cast Phrygian pommel, “D” guard, with Saxon Shield and floral motif on clamshell guard. The sharkskin covered wood grip is slightly wornout in places and with double twisted wire. Straight 32½” blade is triple fullered along ¾ of the blade, ending in double fullers. Acid erched "Eisenhauer // Garantirt" on reverse and “Carl Loose Nache //Hofflieferant Leipzig” on obverse. The Obverse has the Crown over “AR” at the ricasso. Blade is pitted in sections. Overall 38¾”. No scabbard. Est.: $250-$500
