Saxon Infantry Officer Degen Imperial era with Phrygian style pommel showing the face of a wood imp. Some gilding remains on the pommel. The horn grip is missing the triple wire wrapping. The folding pierced guardcontains the Saxon coat of arms flanked by lions and surrounded by floral leaf motif. The double fullered blade is tarnished and is marked with the “WK & C” logo and is etched on the obverse with “Geissler & HastDresden/Eisenhauer Garantirt”. The blade has been shortened. Missing the scabbard. Overall length is 35 ½” with a blade length of 30”. Est.: $200-$400
